SESSIONS: Virtual Edition
Time & Location
About the Event
SESSIONS is a peer-led drug education program for youth ages 13-18. SESSIONS is designed to help young people develop the knowledge and skills they need to navigate a complex world where drug use is common. For the first time, SESSIONS will be offered virtually and will be offered in collaboration with our Youth Harm Reduction Team. The virtual program features 6 interactive 2 hour workshops that will run weekly from 4:30-6:30pm.
SESSIONS engages young people in honest and non-judgmental discussions about issues that are relevant to both their daily lives and futures. Rather than overloading participants with health information, or trying to scare them away from using drugs, the activities encourage youth to think critically about their current beliefs, attitudes and behaviours related to drugs and drug use. Participants explore the factors that influence people's relationships to drugs and discuss practical harm reduction strategies.
